The top image is what the master planning site now encompasses. The addition of the blue area is to revitilize the housing areas as the streetcar line will have real estate value within a 1/2 mile from the track. The area is in bad shape, currently low income and run down student housing. The bottom image is a breakdown of the land use in the surrounding areas of my site.
Why only west of the streetcar line? Is east of the line doing OK? Would there be any reason to expand the site plan at least a block or two east of High street?
ReplyDeleteI am including one block east of high street. I want to incorporate both sides of buildings on that street. Beyond the first block east of high street is Weinland Park district, it is already masterplanned and if they follow through with it then that area will be developed to a proper extent. i can post information on that area if you would like, since i have research it.
